Tumut Community Preschool is a SunSmart Centre and we are committed to protecting children from harmful UV exposure.

When your child commences at preschool, we provide them with a new Preschool hat. This hat remains at Preschool and is clearly labelled with your child’s name and kept in their own hat pocket. All hats are regularly laundered at Preschool.

To avoid UV injury, children should be dressed in clothes that protect skin from sun exposure. We suggest avoiding clothes such as singlet tops, shoestring straps, and/or midriff tops.

We supply Cancer Council SPF Everyday 50+ sunscreen for all children. If you have indicated on your child’s enrolment form that they require their own sunscreen, please supply a labelled tube to your child’s educator.
